About Me

The Engineer Behind
the Network

I am a Network Engineer specialising in building scalable, resilient, and high-performance networks across enterprise and service provider environments — from design intent to live production traffic.

My expertise spans MPLS, EVPN, BGP, OSPF, and modern data center fabric architectures. I've spent over a decade not just understanding protocols, but deploying, troubleshooting, and optimising them under real-world pressure — where failure is not an option.

I believe true mastery in networking comes from applied experience, not theory. This platform is where I translate that experience into practical knowledge — through labs, architecture deep-dives, and troubleshooting insights drawn directly from production environments.

My goal: cut through the noise, share technical depth that actually matters, and help engineers go beyond certification prep into the understanding that holds up under operational pressure.

Continuously evolving — with a sharp focus on modern network design, automation, and large-scale infrastructure.

Building a Bare-Metal Networking Lab with ESXi: Design Decisions, Hardware, and Lessons Learned
Most networking labs focus on learning commands.I wanted a lab that helped me understand systems — how virtualization, CPU, memory, and networking interact under real workloads......

POST 2
Installing EVE-NG on ESXi: VM Sizing, Time Synchronization, and the Failures That Taught Me the Most
Installing EVE-NG is deceptively simple. Download ISO → create VM → boot → login → GUI loads. At this point, many people think they’re done. I thought so too — until things started breaking in ways that weren’t obvious, weren’t documented, and weren’t clearly connected...

Installing Network Images in EVE-NG: Precision, Permissions, and the Failures That Don’t Explain Themselves
This post covers the part of my journey where I learned that EVE-NG does not tolerate approximation. It demands precision — in naming, structure, permissions, and expectations. The First Symptom: “Why Is My Image Not Visible?”...

Secure Remote Access to EVE-NG: Overlay VPNs, Security Design, and Why I Avoided Port Forwarding
At this point in the journey, my EVE-NG lab was finally stable: Images were loading correctly Nodes were booting reliably Resource planning made sense But there was one big limitation:...
